GENERAL RULES & INFO

Basic Information

  1. In order to make A Night to Shine a success, bidding by any person indicates that the person has read and understands the general rules.

  2. Each household or business attending the auction has been assigned a bid number.  Please use your bid number in making all bids throughout the evening for the LIVE Auction.  Do not allow anyone else to use your bid number without permission.

General Auction Rules

  1. All sales are final.

  2. Winning bidders are responsible for the set-up and use of dinners, trips, party packages, etc.  Failure, for whatever cause, to do so within the stated time limit and according to the specified donations/limitations imposes no obligation to the donor or St. Alban Roe.

Check-In

  1. Check-in upon arrival.

  2. Credit card/debit cards will be verified for express pay.

  3. Bid cards will be handed out.

  4. If necessary, your  smartphone will be verified that it is ready for mobile bidding.

Bidding Information

  1. All bidding, except LIVE auction, will be done by mobile bidding using your smart phone.

  2. If help is needed, please visit the registration table.

Express Pay Information

  1. All bidding guests will verify or register their credit/debit card at check-in.

  2. All payments are automatic.

  3. Credit/debit is the only accepted form of payment.

Leaving Early

  1. You must be present for the Raffle drawing in order to win.

  2. If your evening must end early, please stop by the check-out table.

  3. If you are unable to take your items home with you on the night of the auction, you will need to pick them up from the connector on Sunday, March 8th from 10am to 12pm.

Check Out

  1. Please visit the check-out table prior to leaving.

  2. A volunteer will pass on any winnings at this time.

Split Payments

  1. If a split payment is required, please visit the bank with all relevant parties and we will split the amount to suit any arrangement.

Item Pickup

  1. Guests must show payment confirmation via digital receipt on your phone to receive an auction item.

  2. Payment must be received in full on 3/7/2026.

  3. Items must be picked up on the night or between 10am-12pm on 3/8/2026.

Live Auction Information

  1. The LIVE auction will begin promptly at 7:15pm

  2. The LIVE auction will continue until the last item is sold.

  3. To make a legitimate bid, your bid card must be raised with your number printed on it. 

  4. The auctioneer has the sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder and to offer to resell any item if there is a dispute.

  5. The auctioneer retains the right to announce conditions of sale at any time.

  6. Acceptance of the bid by the auctioneer is binding.

Bidder Notification and Miscellaneous Information

  1. LIVE auction runners will deliver winning bid slips to successful bidders for signature once the auctioneer has closed the item's bidding and declared a buyer.

  2. NO changes in dates or terms will be accepted.

  3. Occupancy of vacation homes are non-transferable.

Final Information

  1. Values established for all auction items are the donor’s charitable estimate or general value.  Thus, St. Alban Roe assumes no responsibility as to the declared value.

  2. The portion of your payment that exceeds the stated fair market value of the auction item is considered a charitable contribution to St. Alban Roe and may be eligible for a charitable tax deduction equal to that excess amount. Please retain your paid receipt and consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of any auction purchases based on your individual tax situation.

  3. St. Alban Roe strives to be accurate when listing donors and descriptions of auction items and apologizes for any errors or omissions.
